September-Busy Month

September is the month for lots of awesome activities promoting positive awareness throughout our islands.

First off, Mahalo Nui to Jen and team at the Waikoloa Dry Forest Initiative who held a beautiful Wiliwili festival on September 14th  in honor of our endangered Natives, the Wiliwili, Uhiuhi, A’ali’i, Pua Kala and other dry land  trees & plants. Mahalo to Hualalai who gave a wonderful, insightful talk story about traditional uses of Wiliwil & his personal experiences using the special wood. Mahalo nui loa to all educators who came out that day to support environmental awareness Island wide!ImageImageImage

In honor of our scared mountain the theme for this years Aloha Festivals is, ‘Eo e Mauna Kea, ke kupuna o luna nei,’ Great Mauna Kea, Ancestor above. Please come out and honoring our majestic beauty parade this Saturday and the Aloha Festival Parade in Waimea. Parade start at 10am
